10 June 2015

It’s now a month since the launch of the 2015 VIBES Awards and what a four weeks it has been! The team at VIBES has been on a busy adventure celebrating the launch across Scotland, with seven special events from the Scottish Borders up to Aberdeen and even a quick trip to Edinburgh Zoo in-between.

The events have been a fantastic way to celebrate the 16th annual awards with past winners, a whole host of Scottish businesses and even the odd furry friend or two who joined us at our zoo get-together.

Each helped highlight the variety of businesses entering the awards, from large multinationals to SMEs, and more importantly helped showcase to individual businesses, the sheer diversity of some of the fantastic ideas and practices being implemented, all of which contribute to Scotland’s sustainability.

Attendees had the opportunity to hear first-hand from previous VIBES winners who shared their inspirational sustainable ideas and even highlighted the business benefits they’ve experienced as a result of going ‘green’.

With just over a month to go, we’d encourage all businesses that are contributing to Scotland’s sustainable development to get in touch and apply before the deadline on Monday 13th July. Whether it’s a product or service that benefits the environment or a business process that improves your overall environmental performance, we want to hear from you!

We would also urge all businesses to get in touch with us if you have any questions and application queries. We’re only too happy to help. We will also be hosting an application event in Fife with Fife Green Business on Wednesday the 24th of June. Held at Fife Renewables Innovation Centre, the breakfast seminar will run from 8am-10:30am and will offer advice and tips on the 2015 VIBES application process as well as providing an opportunity for businesses to ask questions.

Over the years we have seen some fantastic award entries with Scottish businesses paving the way for sustainability and we’re excited to see what our sixteenth year brings. Why not get in touch?

All presentations from the launch events are now available to view through our YouTube channel
