Highlights
- Invested significantly in environmental improvements: AD plant, carbon capture plant, heat recovery plant, and “out of plastics” packaging line;
- Have supported the Scottish Government’s Deposit Return Scheme since it was proposed in 2017, and were a founding member of Circularity Scotland;
- The Wellpark carbon capture facility removes 4,000 tCO2/annum from the atmosphere, which is then used to carbonate beers, making Tennent’s 95% self-sufficient in terms of CO2;
- In partnership with The Big Issue, they support 15 vulnerable people each year, and with employee Resource Groups focused on Mental Wellbeing, Physical Wellbeing, Menopause and Working Parents;
- Tennents were recognised as one of Financial Times Climate Leaders 2023.
