We might be in the middle of summer but there are still things that you can do to improve your energy efficiency whilst also making your home cheaper to heat, ready for the cooler months ahead. Â .
What does Home Energy Scotland do?
Home Energy Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government and managed by Energy Saving Trust. It offers free, clear and impartial advice on making your home cheaper to heat and provides information on available funding for energy efficiency improvements, such as installing a new boiler or renewable technology.
What support is available for businesses?
Home Energy Scotland has a network of five advice centres across Scotland that can be accessed via a free phone energy helpline. The advice centres deliver: local events, advice surgeries, training sessions and has specialist outreach staff to help support people and businesses to improve their energy efficiency.
How do you work with local businesses?
Home Energy Scotland helps local businesses to improve their sustainability by running an employee engagement programme, providing specialist business transport advice and signposting to the local Resource Efficient Scotland Implementation Officer.
What is the Employee engagement programme?
The employee engagement programme is designed to work in partnership with local organisations to improve energy efficiency by developing a set of tailored events and activities that help meet each organisation’s goals, support environmental policies and help staff to save energy at home and in the workplace.
What do you do for Business transport?
Home Energy Scotland has a dedicated business transport advisor who can offer advice and conduct sustainable transport reviews. The transport review service identifies potential cost savings and environmental improvements for the business and signposts available funding support such as the Low Carbon Transport Loan and the Free FuelGood Driver training programme.
